The city was dark. Man had become ruled by the sirens of Babylon and by the ruthless blood-diamond warlords/tycoons who'd made capitalism avarice a thing of normality. This was a time of great exploitation, and the greatest metaphysical vanity was in the enslavement of a 'golden child' of prophecy for the power-diadems of a prophetically apocalyptic dark city of unchecked gluttony.

However, there was a normal pedestrian knight in the form of a CalTech professor named Amlan Satan who doubled as an Interpol-agency linked blood-diamond infiltrator who used creative piracy techniques to subvert the spheres created by capitalism-barons who'd smuggled in conflict-gems used to finance terrorism from Africa/Europe. Satan (Amlan) called himself 'Sparrow' and sought to undo the power hierarchies of these blood-diamond barons in North America and in the apocalyptic dark cities of damned civilization!

SATAN (AMLAN): My greatest inspiration is my gypsy-queen Esmerelda, who motivates me to be a hero...not a pirate.

The dark city of civilization was a substrate after-effect of the history of mankind's power vanities, taken from the amalgamation of terrible empire products like the Third Reich and Red Army. These vanities crystallized into the power thoughts of the enslavement of the prophetic 'golden child' who'd otherwise hail the return of the Messiah. This would be a challenge to the tides of empire darkness.

SATAN (AMLAN): Subverting blood-diamond baron powers is the duty of the modern Earth knight questing for virtue.

Now, as you may know, the prophetic 'golden child' of the prophecy was said to signal the end of capitalism avarice and gluttony, but she's targeted by these ruthless Earth warlords/tycoons to be a scapegoat for human frailty and hence designated to be the unfortunate victim of all these human vices. If real modern day knights like Satan (Amlam) failed in this crusade, the golden child would be turned into a messenger of unfortunate torture...and misguided imagination!

SPARROW (AMLAN SATAN): I shall champion the beauty of my angel of love Esmerelda and save the golden child from evil.

GOD: It doesn't seem that Sparrow has the necessary weaponry to undo the chains of darkness!

SATAN: Does this knight of civilization actually care about this 'golden child' of the Apocalypse?
GOD: We do care if this knight is donned in the armory and finery of folkloric human dance.

SATAN: We shall see!

To Satan (Amlan), the beauty-queen Esmerelda provided him with the right spiritual shield to avoid the flesh temptations of vanity to stay focused on the crusade to rescue the prophetic 'golden child' of the Apocalypse and prevent her from becoming a martyrized trophy of human vanity! It was up to this real-life knight to discover intelligent ethics in a time of great diluted Earth ornamentation...and feminine mystique disarray!
