Arkham Trio: Wall Street DreadlocksA Story by Abishai100Three funny vigilantes in modern USA become crusaders in a cause to save the capitalism-soul of Gotham City dollars.
A final retirement piece, a gothic ode to the literary splendor of the fictional psychological den known as Arkham Asylum, (DC Comics). Enjoy!

==== New York was rather shadowy because of all kinds of new era capitalism ambitions, which is why many artists/writers gave it the new pen-name 'Gotham City' and liked its rather aesthetic philosophical quality regarding the 'darkness' of capitalism-paranoia, perhaps because of the aftershock of 9/11, when anti-capitalism terrorists destroyed the commerce-globalization symbolic World Trade Center in NYC [2001]. In this den of darkness rose three special masked vigilantes, much more serious than the Hell's Angels who came to prominence as a sociological response to the crime-backlash of the ideology-sentimentalized counter-culture ('hippie') movement of the 1960s in the great USA. These three vigilantes were two guys and a girl! The guys were Batman (a winged night-prowler) and Two-Face (a disfigured rogue punisher), and the girl was Batwoman (an ex-office girl turned street archer). Batwoman and Two-Face were actually brother-and-sister, but they kept this a deep secret! BATMAN: To save the soul of Gotham, we must act like knights, knights defending an ancient code of social dreams. Batman was the most eccentric of this trio, but he had good reason to be, arguably, since he witnessed his parent's street-murder when he was a young boy, a growing 'American Prince' in NYC. His father, Thomas Wayne, a wealthy Wall Street pioneer, was gunned down by a henchman sent by his rival Max Shreck, future NYSE-tycoon and ghoul of 'Gotham' and the great USA. My name's Amlan Satan. I'm a reporter for the Gotham Gazette, and I've been tracking this vigilante-tale of Batwoman/Two-Face/Batman for some time now, convinced this trio will solve the modern urban problem of capitalism-paranoia induced street injustices! I believe Batman seeks to dismantle one of Shreck's street gargoyles, the brutish and steroids-pumped maniac named Bane, a real 'Leatherface' of American nightmares. I believe that as a reporter, I can discover the roots of Gotham darkness and why Wall Street has become honestly...diseased! MAX SHRECK: I intend to become a wolfish legend of Wall Street, a real paragon of American greed and fortunes. Batman it seems is currently entranced by a lone lounge singer in Gotham who seems to reflect all the malaise of this capitalism-induced modern American paranoia! This lovely young creature is a terrific musician, and Batman drinks and forgets about his woes about capitalism-terrorism in the great USA when he listens to her sing in a lounge in secret. Maybe he's not cut out for this sort of vigilantism. BATWOMAN: I have an obsession too; I take smartphone-photos of a little girl who always visits the Gotham Arcade. In fact, each of the three Gotham vigilantes has their own peculiar consciousness regarding the darkness and strangeness of the modern American city. However, they must seriously put aside these idle thoughts, for a new Gotham super-villain has rose to prominence, and he calls himself Ronald McDonald. This evil capitalism anti-messenger terrorizes customers as McDonald's fast-food joints in Gotham, showing them water-guns filled with acid, insisting that the capitalism-city in the great USA is nothing more than a crude advertisement for clear 'deformed' profiteerism! Nevertheless, Batwoman/Two-Face/Batman continue in their endless quest to bring small but valuable doses of meaningful doses of capitalism advertisements meant to highlight why corporate sponsorship of serious social activities on Earth can really promote a healthier sense of human civilization daydreams. BATWOMAN: I'm going to purchase a small smartphone-toy for that little girl who always visits that Gotham Arcade! TWO-FACE: To save the 'ark' of this city's capitalism soul, we must reach youngsters who embody modern designs. Can America be saved? Will terrorism continue? Will these three modern Gotham super-heroes be able to find creative ways to embrace the vigor and vitality of new era sociological diagonals? ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2021 Abishai100 |
