==== Bishop Eustace, a fine preparatory co-ed school in New Jersey, offers great academics and athletics. The 2019 girls' field-hockey team earned top-20 rank honors in a region under the two national contenders Oak Knoll and Eastern. Now, the Eustace girls would receive a new coach in Algerian Amlan Satan who offered the school a new perspective. ![]() It was rumored Satan had worked in Algeria with the CIA groups for a post-FLN initiative to root out rogue terrorist groups. Amlan had been a scholar of sociological trends driving mob behaviors creating antisocial sentiments in financially struggling areas and would teach a course on political science at Bishop Eustace! ![]() Professor Satan handed out AP political science and history medallions to Eustace students in grades 9-12. He'd earned the reputation of being an excellent world studies teacher and was now the girls' field-hockey head coach. ![]() AMLAN: I'd worked with post-Fanonian Algerian trends under American auspices because of my scholarly laurels. ![]() Amlan was also a scholar of Ayn Rand philosophy and taught his Eustace students about the value of new age media in America/Hollywood catering to a new and developed and arguably graphic sensibility or aesthetic regarding anti-governance angst among youngsters of the MTV generation! ![]() Amlan encouraged his Eustace students to use comic book avatars and create their personal diary doodles of what characters in folk entertainment captured this modern aesthetic regarding anti-governance angst and rebellion diaries. This was a developed form of political science wed to culture and lifestyle, reflected in the works of great American outlaw-writers such as Edward Abbey. The Eustace faculty considered Professor Satan an invaluable resource and allowed him to teach some of his spring courses outdoors, under the giant tree on the Eustace campus, also for journal photos for parents and alumni and investors. ![]() AMLAN: The Eustace girls' field-hockey team wants top-20 honors in regional rankings and adopted a warrior avatar. ![]() The previous Eustace field-hockey coach, Laura Dern, carried the girls' team to the top-20 status in the region under Oak Knoll and Eastern, which normally reaches state/national honors. Amlan would have to now fill Laura's celebrity boots. ![]() Fortunately, he did. Satan's Eustace girls reached a #12 ranking and was looking to overtake Haddonfield ahead of its matchups against Oak Knoll and Eastern. The Eustace parents and alumni were thrilled, and regional sports-writers had a field-day with all this local sports folklore under new Algerian coach Amlan. ![]() AMLAN: My girls are extraordinary on the field of athletics and in the rooms of academics as well, which is American ethos! ![]() Amlan was so proud when his co-captain of the Eustace field-hockey team was offered a special Forsch scholarship to play field-hockey for the Dartmouth College team, the prestigious Ivy League school. ![]() When Amlan won teacher-and-coach-of-the-year dual honors at Bishop Eustace, he told the audience that he's pleased with American amenities at affording energized educators the chance to work within the system to create new and inventive forms of socialized youth diaries. This was a great democratic story! ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2021 Abishai100 |
