Here's one picture-less vignette about blood diamond concerns in North America, referencing the iconic American auto-city of Detroit (Michigan)! God bless America (enjoy),
==== Ken and Todd were both in Detroit, Michigan. They'd seen 9/11 on TV and witnessed firsthand the terrorism incident at the Boston Marathon. They wanted to offer Americans some more colorful stories about everyday energy and thrill that wasn't akin to devastating terrorism. They'd decided then to team up for a special Detroit bank robbery. They'd perform the heist during Halloween. Ken and Todd were once at odds because they'd been dating the same woman at the University of Michigan but had made peace and become best buddies again and therefore trusted each other as needed for this deadly bank robbery in Detroit that would generate more positive and less deadly crime stories in the modern media. Detroit was the struggling auto center city in the USA. The American automobile industry had begun with great spiritual passion in America but was severely diminished due to the real capital challenges posed by the Japanese auto industry, making Detroit both a city of cultural history and social sentimentalism. That's how the two Michigan buddies Ken and Todd figured the Detroit heist would be the perfect modern American urban crime folk-tale. They purchased Halloween costumes of a police officer and a orange colored uniformed convict. Ken and Todd walked into the federally insured Detroit National Bank on the morning of October 24 with Ken pretending to be escorting the uniformed convict Todd in handcuffs. Ken told the bank manager as he was being serviced at the private client desk that his handcuffed convict was actually tied to an outside job involving his crime buddies having taken Ken's wife hostage and that he's to take the diamonds from safe box #445 in the vault room which belongs to the Dutch warlord Emile Kuyt. Kuyt had been rumored to be an underworld agent in the North American warlord driven blood diamond highway stretching from South Africa. Ken explained he's to take these blood diamonds from Kuyt's safe box so his handcuffed escorted convict'd report to his outside accomplice pals to release Ken's hostage wife! The manager wasn't sure what to do and therefore allowed Ken to coolly walk into the vault room and take Kuyt's blood diamonds and exit the bank. The manager told the Detroit Herald, "All I know is a Detroit policeman was implicated in a hostage crisis to take blood diamonds from the somewhat ill-reputed Kuyt and that further disclosures should be pursued by more professional inquiry outfits!" Ironically, Ken and Todd's bizarre costumed blood diamond heist in Detroit generated some odd and somewhat welcomed media splashes about the US auto city suddenly having a black hand in the terrorism fraught deadly international game of blood diamond traffic. Ken told his crime buddy Todd, "Detroit lost the auto race, but it's certainly offered some blue chips in this new blood diamond folklore depression!" ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2021 Abishai100 |
