Frankie, an Algerian-American, was hired to watch over a Hustler Magazine model being stalked by an underworld crime syndicate known as the Night-Riders. Frankie was given the cop alias Cobra by his company, but he didn't consider himself daring or mysterious, simply effective and focused. His mission was to protect the Hustler model Pamela, and he couldn't afford to make a mistake.

FRANKIE/COBRA: I'm honored by this special American mission in California, since Hustler represents free-speech values.

POLICE CHIEF: Frankie/Cobra is our best undercover vigilante, a real defender of American intuition, so he's in mask.

PAMELA: I've been receiving death-threats from the Night-Riders because of the February 1996 issue about safe-sex.

Frankie/Cobra had heard of the evil Night-Riders. There were rumors they were rogues disbanded from the NRA, a more conservative organization obviously. The Night-Riders stalked and threatend Hustler's Pamela for her special role in a feature issue about consumerism, condoms, and cautious intercourse in modern America. The Night-Riders wanted to censor Hustler for this brazen marketing of lifestyle advice, and they demonized Pamela as their Satanic sacrifice.

Frankie/Cobra went into Cue Bank in LA, which held many safe-boxes owned by NRA members of prominent wealth and robbed multiple boxes holding blood diamonds from South Africa, a new North American underworld activity linked to new age criminal enterprises designed to create homegrown terrorism and capitalism exploitation. Frankie/Cobra then maligned the Night-Riders and claimed the blood diamond deformity in California was linked to their dark night crusade to smear standard capitalism and consumerism branches. The Night-Riders were suddenly socially swamped by blood diamond designs.

FRANKIE/COBRA: I'll now spread rumors in the streets and to the cops that the Night-Riders wield water-guns filled with acid!

As the Night-Riders were suddenly demonized as potential real modern terrorists by Frankie/Cobra, their aura and mystique shrank, and Frankie meanwhile fell in love with his Hustler model damsel Pamela who'd had a darling son from a previous marriage named Damian. Frankie/Cobra married Pamela and raised Damian to respect and admire free-speech and consumerism and general American values.
