The Thief King of DaughtersA Story by Abishai100Isaac is a master-thief whose lovely daughters inspire him to become a man of letters...and dyes.
Here's a fun thief-portrait old-world style fantasy-story about a 'thief-prince' who strives to become a 'thief-king' because of the inspiration afforded to him by his two beautiful daughters. This story was inspired by The Bicycle Thief. Thanks for reading (signing off),
==== Isaac was a master-thief, a masked bank robber who'd performed daring and exquisite heists of cash and diamonds from banks all over America. Isaac had become the ultimate modern-day real-life Artful Dodger. Ironically, he was a graduate of a very prestigious prep school in New England as well as a New England Ivy League school. He remained a thief by spirit, nevertheless. ISAAC: "When I walk into a bank, I think about how to perform a heist to illuminate the splendor of the bank's gold!" Isaac was a big fan of the Irish leprechaun, a mythological imp who lived in strange and elusive areas and hid pots of gold at the end of rainbows. The omen was of course that one was forbidden to take from the leprechaun's forbidden pot of magical gold for personal ends. Isaac always tempered his heists by thinking about the ethics boundaries created by the leprechaun's mystical and forbidden gold pots. The prestigious schools Isaac studied at and graduated from with-honors reminded him to build a life someday of prestige and honor. However, Isaac wondered how he'd do that after living a life as a master-thief and wanderer. He thought about his philosophical studies in Hume and literary studies in Shakespeare at his schools which afforded him elegant imagination. Isaac had two daughters from his early love-affair with a gorgeous Texan woman named Diane. The first daughter, Alexandra, was a big fan of horses and wanted to be an equestrian. Isaac thought about how to foster this life interest in Alexandra. The other daughter was Elysa, a pretty redhead. She was Isaac's second daughter, also from his relationship with the Texan beauty Diane. Elysa wanted to study at Dartmouth College (Hanover, New Hampshire), so Isaac began cultivating his alumni ties to the Ivy League to encourage Elysa's educational aspirations. Isaac decided to send both Alexandra and Elysa to a prestigious and respected summer-school in preparation for their applications to high-school prep academies and ultimately to the Ivy League for college studies. This summer school experience would foster in his daughters a special love of education and intellectual life in America in modern times. ISAAC: "If my daughters respect the ornaments of American royalty, they'll develop their patriotism towards governance!" Isaac noticed that Alexandra and Elysa both exhibited a strange fascination with toy-guns, so Isaac decided to monitor and watch over this personal hobby in them closely. He didn't want them to grow up to become a thiefly prince like he'd become. He wanted them to be more like schoolteachers. One of the banks Isaac robbed was in New England, and when Isaac returned to this very same bank to apply for an account during the summer school studies of Alexandra and Elysa, he couldn't help but chuckle when the bank manager told him, "It pleases our bank to notice your family's investing in New England riches!" Isaac decided to watch Shakespeare films with Alexandra and Elysa, to cultivate their love of cultural enrichment and literary curiosity. He watched movies in which iconic celebrities portrayed famous figures and avatars such as Marlowe and Shylock. Isaac didn't want his daughters to be unexposed to the social excellence of timeless artistic dance! DIANE: "I honestly don't know what became of my ex-Isaac, but I hope my daughters are happy and safe with him." Isaac gave his daughters two special emerald 'magic' ring-bracelets of pure silver for them to wear at all times, for good luck. He became quite superstitious that if they lost these two bracelets, they'd encounter strange fortunes related to the truth that their father was attempting to become a 'thief-king' since he was once just a skillful thief, an Artful Dodger of the modern world. ISAAC: "Any man can find redemption and the majesty of a divined kingdom, regardless of his background, especially in America where spiritual tolerance is the hallmark of social design." ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes)
