The LeviathanA Story by Abishai100A dangerous trend in armed robbery in America signals an omen about chemical warfare stretching all the way to Middle Eastern terrorism.
Here's a nice heist 'virtue' themed vignette about a hypothetical dangerous trend developing in armed bank robberies, possibly in America in the modern era. Thanks for reading (signing off again),

==== More and more bank robberies in America were being performed with water-guns filled with corrosive HCL acid. That's because acid is a devastating substance, and the acid-guns served as very frightening crowd-control devices for the heists, prompting the FBI to wonder if this new trend in armed robbery was akin to chemical warfare in the 21st Century. Was this the Leviathan? Leviathan is of course the seminal political philosophy treatise written by the legendary philosopher and logician Thomas Hobbes who characterized human nature and the yearning to create ongoing revolutions in a civilization constructing otherwise idealized forms of governance! Hobbes suggested the nature of governance was formalism and the will to re-invent government and rebel against government represented a natural will to defy norms and customs in favor of creativity and cycles of invention. Hobbes suggested the 'dragon' or 'leviathan' of chaotic systemic rebellions resembled waves of vitality, and one might ask if this 21st Century 'acid-gun' trend in armed bank robbery in the USA was somehow a 'leviathan' response to anti-capitalism angst. Was this the leviathan? Was it akin to chemical warfare and developments in the Middle East? American comic book fans/artists began creating stick-figure heroes and anti-heroes symbolizing this modern 'leviathan' fascination with basic rebelliousness. FBI: "We believe this leviathan in acid-guns in bank robberies is a sign of the new generation and its angst towards the law." A feminist comic book writer in Washington decided to create sculptures of the female villainess Cheetah (DC Comics) as a totem to this new 'acid-gun' trend in armed bank robbery in the USA. She suggested that Cheetah revealed this 'leviathan' in modern anti-capitalism dance. Another non-feminist writer was using Squirrel Girl (Marvel Comics) to talk about eco-terrorism in Western civilization and how the trend of 'acid-gun' use in bank robberies signed a 'leviathan' in chemical warfare that induced thoughts about serious environmental disrespect. Water-guns used to only hype war and fighting, but now they're being filled with corrosive acid for anti-establishment bank robberies! Squirrel-Girl became a public comic messenger for this new dialogue about inventive terrorism. At Princeton University, however, professors and students were still working on a new seminar about the romance of bank robbery in America, dating back to the Depression-era days of Bonnie and Clyde and why such romance would lead to a 21st Century armed robbery trend in 'acid-gun' use and how this trend would be 'eyed' by fundamentalist Muslims in the Middle East seeking to hype chemical warfare. Princeton became a hub for intriguing ideas regarding the use of inventive weapons in modern crime in the USA and hopefully how it differed from foreign chemical warfare/terrorism! CELEBRITY ATHLETE: "I heard about these 'acid-gun' robberies and thought this was a new kind of American terrorism!" Were these acid-gun robbers creating a new kind of dangerous game? Were they merely exploiting chemicals just as fundamentalist terrorists in the Middle East were with chemical weapons? This was after all the age of great toys...and disasters! DR. CLAW: "I used to teach at Princeton, but now I'm coordinating some acid-gun studied underground perhaps for profit." FBI: "We don't want bank robbery to be demonized in the context of a rich history of romanticizing bank robbers like Bonnie and Clyde in Hollywood cinema and media and storybooks, but this new trend in dark acid-gun use only spells doom for Americans who revile chemical weapons and refuse to indulge in them in any way, unlike fundamentalist terrorists who insist chemical warfare is somehow a new brand of dogma." ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2020 Abishai100 |
