Ermac/Kitana

Ermac/Kitana

A Story by Abishai100
"

The seer warlock Ermac engages with the warrior-princess Kitana to discover ironic love in arenas of pure design, but these two may be the deities Shiva and Saraswati!

"
Here's a very nice Mortal Kombat inspired fan-fiction about the two avatars Ermac and Kitana, referencing the Hindu deities Shiva and Saraswati, in a quaint vignette about finding surprising love in fields of danger. Thanks so much for reading (signing off),

{Ermac/Kitana}

ERMAC: I can see you're a vivacious young warrior-woman, Kitana!
KITANA: You look like a brooding sage...or I should rather say, I real hermit, Ermac.
ERMAC: Why, thank you.
KITANA: Is your arrogance pleasing to you?
ERMAC: Perhaps not, but only when in the company of such a fierce woman, Kitana.
KITANA: Don't be so arrogant when you know you're alone with me.
ERMAC: Alright, I concede such arrogance...but I mean you no ill intention, my dear.
KITANA: My dear, eh, so what, you're my uncle or very much older brother?
ERMAC: Why, did you want to court something more sensual or amorous with me, my dear?
KITANA: You look like a more dashing version of Fagin or some miser, nothing more, Ermac!
ERMAC: I see, I rather enjoy this sort of brutal honesty when I'm alone with you.
KITANA: Well, I don't understand your intentions towards me, my dear.
ERMAC: I'm nothing more than a perfect assassin and thief, Kitana.
KITANA: Why're you telling me this now, Ermac?
ERMAC: Maybe I'm moving towards a sentimental pose for you.
KITANA; Oh goodness, you have a childish crush on me, me, Kitana the warrior-princess.
ERMAC: Maybe that's true, but now you're being arrogant.
KITANA: What'd you really want to talk about with me, Ermac?
ERMAC; I find your warrior blade-fans quite symbolic and think about fighter-jets and aerial combat.
KITANA: Interesting; well, I suppose your green shooting fireballs remind me of jetfire, Ermac!
ERMAC: We could make love and then enroll as Top Gun aerial combat instructors, as a couple.
KITANA: I care nothing for the American Navy, Ermac.
ERMAC: I disagree; you have a certain stance towards female grit, and you're wise with combat.
KITANA: What does Top Gun have to do with thievery and assassin's creed, Ermac?
ERMAC: A good fighter-pilot appreciates evasion and engagement skills, Kitana.
KITANA: You think I possess both, like you?
ERMAC: No, you're beautiful; not a cold assassin or thief...like me.
KITANA: That's the first sense of honesty and even dare I say it vulnerability you've shown to me.
ERMAC: I told you...I think I'm in love with you.
KITANA: I can work with Top Gun alongside you, Ermac.
ERMAC: You don't mind courting an assassin and thief, my dear?
KITANA: No, but you have to drop that Fagin-miser tone and stance, my dear.
ERMAC: For you, I'll try to sound and look more...young.
KITANA: Young?
ERMAC: I'll build you a fighter-jet laser-illusion model for your apartment, which I'll buy you.
KITANA: An apartment...where on Earth...sounds devilishly romantic.
ERMAC: In northern California.
KITANA: I'm in love with you too!

Why did Ermac engage with Kitana like this, one might ask? It turns out Ermac was actually the Hindu deity Shiva, master of destruction, and transformed himself into the eerie road-warlock Ermac to find Kitana. You see, Shiva was sure that the Outworld warrior-princess Kitana was certainly the Hindu goddess Saraswati, muse and teacher of learning. Shiva was in love with Saraswati, and he found himself falling in love with Kitana as Ermac, and he wanted Kitana's hand as Ermac, just as Shiva wanted Saraswati's hand as a companion, confidante, and young lover. The two were destined for great spiritual adventures, and who knows if Shiva/Ermac, a dark assassin but also a congenial if highly-masterful thief, would be endeared towards the young and vivacious Saraswati/Kitana, a messenger in Outworld and Earth of pure and simple imagination.

SHIVA: As Shakespeare said, "If music be the food of love, play on, so why not entreat a harmless youthful daydream featuring an unlikely warming love-match between the seer Ermac and the warrior-princess Kitana? Certainly, such a companionship can be imagined, if one imagines a lake-like embrace between me, Shiva, and Saraswati, muse of learning and a terrific young goddess! This is a personal quest of mine, one I intend to use to ruminate on the emotional contours of virtual diarism...who can turn down such a debutante thought, even in this warlike universe?
