Hotshot (PS3)A Story by Abishai100Isaac pits Italy 1982 against an all-time France team on FIFA Soccer on his PS3 video-game to create a summer experience of great human design.
I'll leave with this politically neutral soccer video-game vignette, inspired by one of my favorite films, Hotshot. Thanks for reading,
==== Isaac loved soccer video-games and purchased a Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) for his 21st birthday and played FIFA Soccer video-games at his dorm-room at Florida. He purchased a special edition of the FIFA Soccer game that year which featured the option to construct 'dream-teams' comprised of historical squads or assembled squads utilizing individual star players in the World Cup. Isaac decided to pit the 1982 Italy men's national soccer team, winner of the 1982 World Cup title, against the 'all-time' France team, comprised of the greatest French soccer stars in world history (Zidane, Trezeguet, Benzema, Henry, Platini). The Italy 1982 team was swift and elegant, precise and exacting. The all-time France team was extraordinary and striking, killer and gorgeous. Isaac played numerous summer games of this FIFA Soccer team matchup on his PS3 and began writing essays about which country boasted the greater soccer diaries, Italy or France! The 1982 Italy World Cup team boasted the dark-horse striker and leader Paolo Rossi, who managed to organize his team's surprising underdog offense to overcome major powerhouse nations that year, including the dreaded Brazil team which included Zico and Socrates. Paolo Rossi's 1982 Italy soccer team was a thing to marvel, and it revealed Italians' flair for teamwork and efficacy and its investments in competitive soccer. That's why Isaac chose this historic team to challenge France's all-time team. Italy 1982 boasted the proud blue uniforms for their country. The all-time French team Isaac assembled on FIFA Soccer on his PS3 included Zinedine Zidane, David Trezeguet, Karim Benzema, Thierry Henry, and Michel Platini. Each of these stars were stand-outs in their respective divisions, for their particular club-teams they played in, particularly Juventus, and for their French men's national team. Zidane had won a World Cup title in 1998, and Platini was a major world soccer star in the bygone era of Maradona and Cruyff and Beckenbauer and Garrincha. Isaac's all-time France team represented excellence, stardom, and extraordinary speed! ISAAC: "The games I've put together pitting 1982 Italy with France all-time were quite remarkable. I found that during the simulated constructed play on my special-edition soccer game on my Playstation this summer, France's Henry was well-matched with Italy's Paolo Rossi, since both stars exhibited great forms of field offensive power. I found that overall while Italy 1982 was an all-around better coordinated collective team, the France all-time squad exhibited levels of extraordinary giftedness that made Italy stand on its toes. I wonder what would happen if, in their after-lives in heaven, Italy 1982 and France all-time really did meet on a mythical soccer field in the sky and compete with each other for the ultimate glory of world soccer diarism. Aren't video-games truly delicious?" Isaac had an omen-dream in which he envisioned that indulging too much in fantasy scenarios would lead the mind to sloth and gluttony. He realized that strange duality in consumerism/capitalism between entertainment/imagination and avarice/greed. He nevertheless never forgot the extraordinary experience he gained seeing the 1982 Italy soccer team compete against his awesomely assembled France all-time team on his FIFA Soccer game on the PS3. Isaac decided PS3 was definitively more immersive than Microsoft's Xbox! Such is capitalism --- it's all about personality, preference, bias, and of course, daydreams. ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes)
