The Glass Castle

The Glass Castle

Notre Dame football prepares for a terrorist event enacted by an intelligent alien species, requiring humanity to brace together to protect a sacred institution!

Since I've written so much at length about Irish politics and Protestant-Catholic dangers in Northern Ireland, here's a subject of greater understanding to me as an American college student alumni, the diarism behind Notre Dame Fightin' Irish college football. Although I attended the Ivy League school Dartmouth College, I've grown up with a democratic love for Notre Dame televised football and as a Catholic find this American 'diary' quite wonderful. Thanks so much for reading my friends (signing off),

The Notre Dame campus was reopened after the Coronavirus quarantine ended. The Fightin' Irish football team was excited to start an exciting new season and continue its storied history at the storied Catholic university in the USA!

Notre Dame football was as popular in America as Chicago Bulls NBA pro-basketball and NY Yankees MLB pro-baseball and Duke University NCAA college basketball. However, Notre Dame had what none of these other high-profile American media sports teams had --- a formal TV contract with NBC, a major American television network. This was serious spotlight. Why? Notre Dame represented Catholic values in America as well as educational values in America. The school boasted numerous legendary players in its history including Joe Montana, Tim Brown, and Rick Mirer.

TOM COLLINS: A junior-year student excited about the new sports year for the Fightin' Irish. This well-built tight-end was expected to bring much glory to the Notre Dame football team season now that the quarantine was over.

BRADY JORDAN: A half-Irish student-athlete, this talented sophomore quarterback wanted to carry the Notre Dame team to a major bowl game in the 2022 season. He had great praises from the head-coach as well and was training hard.

KURT CONNORS: Not a member of the actual athletic team, this offense coordinator genius was a Notre Dame student himself and now wanted to guide the Fightin' Irish to scoring glory in the upcoming season.

Notre Dame had become such a symbolic Catholic university in the USA that people in sports-writing and education writing and American culture writing sought to equate the value of Notre Dame with a general American interest in Catholicism in the modern world. That's why Notre Dame football had come to symbolize why Americans care about relevant religious values in the real world such as the lingering Protestant-Catholic distrust in Northern Ireland. Everyone respected the aura and feeling of the Fightin' Irish and loved watching the team on NBC every Saturday since the 20th Century.

DIANE COLLINS: A transfer student from Harvard, this Irish-American drama student hoped to someday make a movie about Notre Dame culture and Fightin' Irish football; she began dating Brady Jordan, the sophomore sensation quarterback.

However, it wasn't only human beings in America who recognized the true greatness of Notre Dame. The terrifying predatory super-intelligent alien creature known as the Xenomorph also began spying on Notre Dame TV (NBC) from its home planet Venus, where it lived in groups and clans underground. The Xenomorph was a species enslaver; it consumed the energy and life-blood of other species and made other species sources of energy or even food and slave-labor. The Xenomorph wanted to create some kind of Notre Dame terror/terrorism. It landed on Earth's moon and began spying on Notre Dame more closely as the post-Coronavirus season began!

The Xenomorph resembled a large insect-dragon like creature with claws and steel jaws and corrosive acidic saliva and blood, making it a piercing predator who was literally dangerous to puncture and bleed. The Xenomorph wanted to make Notre Dame terrorism, perhaps land on a televised popular game in the upcoming season and decapitate fans and players on live TV or kidnap humans for slavery or perhaps even showcase an example of alien-human ingestion.

The funny thing was, Americans and humans had long imagined the deadly visitation by a terrifying intelligent alien creature, ironically and eerily also known as the Xenomorph. The term/word 'Xenomorph' simply meant an alien or unknown life-form with the capability of moving and reproducing and growing and ingesting and doing violent symbiosis with such lethality predicting its behavioral shape was simply foolish. The real-life Xenomorphs now spying on Notre Dame football from Earth's moon had noticed the odd likeness of the fictional 'Xenomorph' aliens depicted in the iconic and popular Alien sci-fi horror franchise which included very graphic video-games involving combat...and survival!

NASA had a spy-satellite roving around Earth's orbit and detected strange signals emanating from Earth's moon. NASA scientists decoded these signals and discovered the odd radar-detected graphed shape of a terrifying spying alien creature oddly and horrifyingly resembling the fictional 'Xenomorph' alien creatures from the Alien sci-fi horror films and video-games and comics! NASA decided to immediately begin suiting up American soldiers and Notre Dame students to dress up as 'superheroes' and prepare engaging these real-life Xenomorphs after decoding one moon signal indicating the Xenomorphs' intention to crash into an upcoming Notre Dame football game. The NASA executives who prepared our human soldiers to serve as 'super-killers' were proud of the assembled force of Xenomorph fighters.

The US army and NASA recruited Tom Collins, Brady Jordan, Diane Collins, and Kurt Connors to aid the US army and suit up as undercover super-soldiers when the Xenomorphs crashed into an upcoming televised Notre Dame Fightin' Irish football game. All the trained soldiers had specially-engineered ice-guns, which had the ability to shoot freezing liquid-nitrogen. NASA had decoded a moon signal indicating the Xenomorphs were going to crash a Notre Dame game with Penn State in late November. All the trained and suited human 'super-soldiers' including the Notre Dame members (Tom Collins, etc.) were given these special easily-concealed liquid-nitrogen handguns.

The Xenomorphs did indeed crash the televised Notre Dame game against Penn State. The Notre Dame members pulled out their handy-dandy ice-guns and began shooting at the terrifying Xenomorphs who landed on the football field. Crowds screamed, but US army men who would provide military support to the armed Notre Dame students/members were also armed with handy-dandy ice-guns. The armed humans began shooting liquid-nitrogen at the Xenomorphs. The aliens began seeing their limbs freeze from the gun shooting and had no choice but to retreat and fled back to the moon. The 'glass castle' of Notre Dame was saved.

XENOMORPH: We're sending this intelligent communication from Earth's moon before leaving your solar-system. You obviously prepared for our crash-landing onto your popular televised Notre Dame football game and came equipped with your handy-dandy ice-guns. We had no choice but to retreat but felt the desire to send you this signal communication of congratulations regarding your obvious success in defending your proud Catholic university with coordinated teamwork, indicating to us only that you're able to work together to protect real religious and academic designs. We're confident you'll find more democratic success and glories and therefore see no real dystopian merit in colonizing your species. Good luck, and may your 'God' endow you.
