The Beautiful War!A Story by Abishai100An IRA-sympathizer speaks out about the troubling Protestant-Catholic rift in Northern Ireland weighed against the much more addressed Israel-Palestine dilemma!
One final Irish politics sign-off piece (I promise!), and this one specifically deals with a subject of great interest to me as a practicing Catholic --- the deeply deforming distrust between Protestants and Catholics in the United Kingom. This final piece was also inspired by the symbolic and important film Patriot Games. Thanks for reading,
==== I'm Green Shadow, an Algerian-American underground operative for the Provisional Irish Republican Army (P-IRA). Our goal is to destabilize British Protestant strongholds in Northern Ireland to obtain more social rights in Parliament for the Irish Catholic minority. I worked for the CIA before joining P-IRA. I perform army actions and resource allocations in North America as well as recruiting female members for message runs and explosives transports. I often wear masks and disguises. I attended the Ivy League and was part of a popular fraternity that was linked to a popular sorority. I learned from this student social culture the opportunities women might have in espousing sociocultural values through photography and networks. That's how I first started thinking about the role of women in modern political ideology. P-IRA works with Sinn Fein, the legal and political wing of the IRA, loosely to establish more progress with British Parliament. We seek to destabilize police and military barracks in Northern Ireland designed to maintain the undesirable divisions between Protestants and Catholics in Belfast, divisions created by social disparities that Parliament can't seem to address often in the modern media. We use various media tools in the underground, including comic book images to promote a modern interest in Irish Catholic minority tragedies. I'm in charge of recruiting Irish women who're willing to roam around Belfast and other parts of Northern Ireland posing as models, student journalists, tourists, and festive Catholics meant to fool British police and military into thinking they pose no threat to government silos. The women I recruit become automatic terrorists for the IRA. As a P-IRA executive in North America and parts of Ireland, I have the authority to determine which recruited women can pass themselves off as pedestrian beauties who pose no danger to Parliament blindness. I use the comic book anti-heroine Poison Ivy, a beautiful eco-terrorist, in media campaigns involving the role of Irish women in the IRA cause to create more political buffer-zones for the Irish Catholic minority in Northern Ireland. Poison Ivy is a redheaded siren who represents creative revolution. I link this comic book siren to the recruited women of P-IRA/IRA to remind the government that there is no active history without deliberate actions created by the people themselves regarding the truly horrible reality of Protestant-Catholic divisions in Europe. The women of P-IRA I recruit are armed angels of the mission. We seek not to be painted as terrorists but as revolutionaries and activists and freedom-fighters. In other words, the angels of the IRA are meant to deliver the message to the world that troubles and conflicts between Protestants and Catholics should create focus on the problem of spiritual pollution on Earth. There's no reason Protestants and Catholics can't live equally today, so the angels of the IRA are actually messengers of modern deformity. My real name is Isaac Satan. I have relatives who were involved in the FLN revolution against French colonial occupation of Algeria. I dropped out of the CIA after graduating from Dartmouth and joined P-IRA when I turned 28. I became Provincial General of the North American IRA when I turned 29. I've recruited over 1,000 women for the IRA since I joined and am considered the organization's valuable human resources chief as well as explosives and munitions engineer in Northern Ireland. This is a dire cause. I have no fear or shame recruiting beautiful Irish women willing to become members of P-IRA. That's because the neglect of Protestant-Catholic divisions in Europe are a clear sign of pure darkness. How can we meditate on the grave problems between Israel and Palestine while completely ignoring the terrible rift between Protestants and Catholics in Northern Ireland? My women/angels I recruit become beautiful angels of a vital message --- inter-religious cooperation is the only road to true globalized commerce in the new era. My IRA women are therefore angels of Jesus Christ and believe Protestants and Catholics have equal stake and faith in the Christian church. One might argue that Israel-Palestine is more important because of WWII and OPEC in the modern landscape. However, a deep rift between Protestantism and Catholicism is equally damaging to modern globalization and commerce, because these are the two dominant Christian denominations in the modern world. America will care about such a division, since Americans care about the interactions between Protestants and Catholics. We don't want Sinn Fein to fail in its negotiations with Parliament to obtain equal footing between Protestants and Catholics in the UK and in Europe and the rest of the world! When you see vintage photos of IRA women masked and marching, you might consider the growing global appeal and importance of the idea of people from around the world becoming involved in this pluralism issue for the future of Protestant-Catholic relations in Europe and elsewhere. Women are therefore symbolic in this crisis. Why did the FLN employ Muslim women in the fight with French colonialists? We recruit women into the IRA to create a holistic view of human dioramas. I'm not simply a knight of democracy but also a crusader for free-speech and inter-religious reform and unity. We can not stand for Protestant-Catholic divisions created by disparities created by a neglectful government. We suffer the misfortunes of radical IRA members and frustrated British police/military who resort to extreme forms of violence when thinking that all hope is lost. We can't allow Protestant-Catholic divisions to stand in this modern landscape of globalized capitalism. Think of a story of an American FBI agent disguised undercover in the USA and tracking a maniac serial-killer named Leatherface in the streets of Texas. Just imagine if this hypothetical undercover American cop is hampered by the depressing notion that Leatherface is aggravating or exploiting deep divisions in the Christian church created by rifts between Protestants and Catholics. Such a complication would make the work of this hypothetical American FBI agent much more bizarre. In other words, inter-religious conflict is devastating to any kind of enforcer. Our critics claim we're just playing a chess game. However, I often feel inspired by the cool thought that the real-life chess match played between the IRA and British police/military encourages more dialogue about the actual intelligence involved with modern focus on inter-religious complexity! One of the women I recruited into P-IRA helped me rob the London bank in England in the summer of 2020, during the dreadful Coronavirus quarantine. We were using the gathered money to buy more black market missiles to shoot down British army helicopters flying above Belfast skies to unnerve Protestants and Catholics about the lifestyle weight of the global quarantine. We want more media attention drawn to interests in everyday Protestant-Catholic relationships, not lingering army presence and machinery. The woman I recruited who helped me rob the London bank for the necessary anti-aircraft missiles posed as my wife, a European princess opening a large account, while I was escorted into the vault-room to inspect the security on her behalf. I had to simply sedate the escorting guardsman with chloroform and lift about $20 million worth of diamonds while my female recruited partner finisher her account review activities. This is inconceivable but priority work requiring all manner of hideous disguises. These are the new Crusades! We're the new knights of Camelot. I use Batman and Poison Ivy comics in the underground to create student interest in new forms of terrorism depicted in modern entertainment. After all, Poison Ivy is to Batman what Parliament is to the IRA --- a challenge about real fashion. If someone asks me, "Does Green Shadow think P-IRA is a vehicle to corrupt the peaceful consciousness of Irish women?" I have to respond, "There can be no peace in the UK without equal friendship and trust between Protestants and Catholics in Northern Ireland." You might even wonder with such a grave problem as the deep division between Protestantism and Catholicism, a division that strikes at the very stability of the Christian church, why Princess Kate Middleton herself would not consider herself a qualified candidate for modern P-IRA or Sinn Fein work! The truth is that the complex questions in this inter-religious rift create so many biases that all women, British Protestants and Irish Catholics alike, may feel like petals of a wilting creature. Don't think of me as a world-terrorist. I'm only a world-messenger. If you care about Protestant-Catholic reltions, you'll see the value of this modern trouble and join us and ask your local Irish-American Congressman to investigate more dialogue between Sinn Fein and Parliament in the 21st Century. We simply need more active vigilance. Turn on BBC news and watch an Irish Catholic civil rights march in Northern Ireland featuring our own Irish children dressed in culturally patriotic dress. You'll think about this terrible modern Protestant-Catholic rift as a clear sign of the true problem of globalization ideology --- unresolved inter-religious music. If you see the news of a pursued or arrested rogue/radical IRA member who's considered a fanatic for his extreme and unsanctioned acts of unnecessary violence, think of the troubles that lead to insane individuals becoming involved in what is otherwise a human problem that strikes at the very heart of the Protestant-Catholic division. We need more sympathy for Protestants and Catholics seeking to work together to weed out the influence of fanatical terrorists and brutally cruel British policemen. GREEN SHADOW: Parliamentary policies facilitated us being cast only as terrorists. REPORTER: Do you think you're more than just terrorists? GREEN SHADOW: We work alongside Protestants willing to listen to this grievance! REPORTER: Grievance? GREEN SHADOW: As Irish Catholic sympathizers, we can't just neglect the Protestant-Catholic rift. REPORTER: What's so special about Protestant-Catholic unity in Europe? GREEN SHADOW: Without the cure to this division, the Christian church is not wholly elevated. REPORTER: Alright, thanks. ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes)
