Friday the 13th (Fan-Fiction)

Psychic Tina goes to Crystal Lake to be evaluated for her apparent psychic gifts and may have to encounter the haunting zombie Jason who lurks in the woods as a 'specter' of paranoia!

Sorry, I felt compelled and was even advised to exorcise my fascination with Friday the 13th horror-films with this nifty and exciting fan-fiction. I wonder if Jason can be coordinated nicely for a Batman (DC Comics) series!

Tina was set to head to the thick forests of the Pine Barrens in New Jersey (USA) with her mother in the summer of 2020 to meet with her psychiatrist Dr. Thomas for a private vacation during which her secret telepathic powers would be examined and evaluated. She'd known ever since she was a child that she possessed these extraordinary psychic powers of the mind but shunned them as dangerous signs of her own potential brush with darkness. However, Tina's psychiatrist Dr. Thomas was convinced Tina should be examined, and if her claimed fears of psychic powers were in any way verified, Dr. Thomas would be celebrated as a medicine-man of new age telepathy.

Dr. Thomas managed to persuade Tina's mother to bring her attractive and gifted 20 year-old daughter to a cabin in the forests of the Pine Barrens in New Jersey near a body of water called Crystal Lake where various folk-tales emanated about an apparent 'specter' haunting the woods as an ominous manslaying zombie! This zombie was Jason Voorhees, a man who'd drowned as a young boy in a youth-camp by Crystal Lake because of the careless negligence of reckless camp-counselors. Apparently, Jason returns to the Crystal Lake area after 'surfacing' from the depths of the water as a grown male zombie. Apparently, Jason wore a hockey-mask he stole from a modern Crystal Lake youth-camp playground and also wielded a machete as his killing weapon!

When psychic Tina and her persuaded mother arrived at the Crystal Lake cabin in the Pine Barrens forest, they found the eager Dr. Thomas already waiting for them there! He told them the cabin was comfy and the Crystal Lake area idyllic in the summertime and quiet as well, affording Tina the necessary space for solemn meditation and psychiatric evaluation of her fear of her psychic powers. Tina still felt a tad reluctant and was worried Dr. Thomas managed to manipulate her mother into bringing her to the Crystal Lake cabin and merely sought to gain some medical community celebrity from Tina's undisclosed telepathic gifts. However, Tina obeyed the wishes of her worried mother and believed this was the best option.

Tina was bathing nude in Crystal Lake one early morning when a young handsome man spotted her while approaching towards the lake to read his book! He asked Tina if she was alone and told her his name was Teddy and that he was camping in the Pine Barrens while reading a book about Pine Barrens folklore and searching for the existence of the fabled haunting manslayer-zombie Jason Voorhees. Teddy told the mesmerized Tina that Jason had haunted and spooked campers near Crystal Lake for years and was 'suspected' in the various disappearances of individuals in the Pine Barrens. Teddy told Tina that the folk-story was that Jason abducted young-adult campers near Crystal Lake and decapitated then before burning their remains.

Tina was horrified and told Teddy, whom she found quite attractive and brace, that she herself was camping in a cabin by Crystal Lake with her mother and psychiatrist who was helping Tina get a grip on her mortal fears about her telepathic powers! Teddy asked Tina if she believed her powers were real (or imagined!), and Tina was motivated to give Teddy a little display by using her telepathic power to move a fallen tree-branch by the lake while she swam. Teddy was stunned and offered the still naked swimming Tina to bring her a shirt and pants set so she'd be clothed and ready to share more of her amazing magic with him! Tina was touched by Teddy's gallant behavior and gave him a kiss.

Teddy convinced Tina she was feted to come to Crystal Lake and confront Jason Voorhees with her extraordinary psychic powers! Late one night, while Tina's mother and psychiatrist (Dr. Thomas) slept, Tina and Teddy snuck out and trekked deep into the woods in search of the manslayer-zombie Jason Voorhees. The two brave Americans ventured deeper and deeper into the forest until they reached a clearing where the hockey-mask wearing Jason stood with his ominous machete in his zombie hand! Teddy yelled and told Tina to unleash her psychic powers of Jason, and Tina felt amazingly brave. She used telekinesis to rip off one of Jason's hands and then pushed him to the ground and used more of her magical power to lift Jason's machete and hold it threateningly to the zombie's neck, compelling him to engage with her as a subdued 'human' (ready for debate!).

TINA: Why do you haunt Crystal Lake?
JASON: Vengeance.
TINA: You stalk and abduct helpless campers!
JASON: I burn their remains and dump their ashes in the lake.
TINA: You're a menace, Jason!
JASON: I'm merely a ghost.
TINA: You're a zombie.
JASON: What do you want with me?
TINA: Return to the lake abyss!
JASON: Why?
TINA: You've already met your counselor.
JASON: Fine!

Jason walked into Crystal Lake as Tina and Teddy watched and sunk back into the depths. Tina and Teddy ran back to their cabin as the sun was rising and snuck back inside. The next morning, Tina announced to her psychiatrist Dr. Thomas that she wished not to pursue further these fantastic inquiries into the nature and quality of her psychic magic and only wanted to go home and get a normal job and continue her newfound romantic relationship with Teddy. Tina's mother clearly saw her daughter was earnest and explained to Dr. Thomas that Tina would now be excused from any further examinations! Tina and Teddy went home and continued dating, vowing to always keep their dark secret about their monumental encounter with Jason Voorhees in the Pine Barrens and forging a fresh vision of a peaceful and sane future...together!
