Silent HillA Story by Abishai100A trio travel to a ghost-town called 'Silent Hill' where they must face a rather complex metaphysical deformity!
I felt a creative need to create a movie fan-fiction of the new age horror-movie "Silent Hill" [2006], which itself was indirectly inspired by an unusual video-game, so that my readers may better understand why I'm retiring from short-story writing to possibly work on a full-length Batman (DC Comics) fan-fiction novel about an unusual 'ethics-test' in the spooky European castle of the eccentric anti-American terrorist Ra's al Ghul.
Hopefully, you'll see why the horror-movie "Silent Hill" [2006], on which this short-story is entertainingly based, entices my paranoia-storytelling about 'dangerous' intelligence! Thanks so much for reading (signing off), ==== Sandy, a Mormon of 30 years-of-age, took his two wives to a haunted town called Silent Hill in the summer of 2020. There were folk-tales of adventurous people traveling through the town seeking a fun ghost experience but discovering much more, and now, Sandy wanted to take his two wives, Denise and Claire, to Silent Hill for an exciting story themselves. On the way to the town, Sandy stopped at a diner where the waitress told him and Denise and Claire of the danger of becoming too arrogant about thinking they were in for a normal ghost experience at Silent Hill. Sandy and his wives arrived at Silent Hill and noticed the town was like an Old West ghost-town but with some buildings reminiscent of modern times like a cinemaplex and pharmacy and post-office and toy store. However, these shops and buildings were all condemned and gathering dust and cobwebs. A motorcycle-cop passed by Sandy's parked car in Silent Hill and told the Mormon trio seeking a ghost story to quickly 'get their kicks' and then promptly get out. Sandy started to think there was something not quite right about Silent Hill. Sandy and Denise and Claire decided to wander into the dilapidated church building in Silent Hill, a gothic building with quite a bit of impressive surviving stained-glass on the two large front windows. When the Mormon trio walked into the church, they found a strange congregation of people being sermonized by an eccentric woman with spiked hair. They were surprised to find people in Silent Hill and wondered why no one had told them there were actual people in the ghost-town. The Mormon trio sat down on one of the church benches and listened to the woman giving her offbeat sermon about the power of shadows to the congregation which numbered in about 100 people. Afterwards, Sandy decided to approach the priestess-woman to ask her questions about Silent Hill. The woman introduced herself as Esther and explained the town was an 'experiment' in which travelers were encouraged to walk through the halls of the giant mansion on the edge of town to test their courage and faith. The Mormon trio thought this was the real allure of Silent Hill and decided to walk to this 'Mansion' described by Esther. Sandy and Denise and Claire walked inside the unlocked mansion in Silent Hill and immediately noticed a young girl run across the hallway. They chased her and asked her about the mansion, but she explained they'd have to learn for themselves. Somewhat unnerved, the Mormon trio decided to continue exploring the giant mansion which was quite dilapidated. They found a room in which an old woman sat on a rocking-chair. She had very long frazzled white hair and pale skin and told them to sit down in front of her so she could teach them. OLD WOMAN: "Silent Hill is a town of the inner-psyche. You must find your bond to each other, Sandy/Denise/Claire, and trust each other. In the upstairs floor, you'll find three special rooms, each with a special faith test you must take separately. These tests will determine your ability to resist fear and believe in love, for if you fail, you'll be cast as outcasts of Silent Hill! Failure might mean eternal misery and humiliation." The Mormon trio slowly walked upstairs and found the three special test-rooms the old woman described. They each chose one room to enter and promised to reunite in a short time. If there was any delay, they'd enter the other rooms to rescue the delayed person! Sandy told Denise and Claire not to be afraid and that he'd find them all safe. The Mormon trio admitted within this Silent Hill mansion lay quite a fascinating faith adventure! SANDY'S ROOM: 'An old man was in the room Sandy chose and in it, Sandy would gave to choose between drinking the blood of a rat or facing a very painful experience. Sandy chose to drink the rat blood and then asked to explain his choice. Sandy told the old man that he preferred something temporarily disgusting over something certainly painful. He'd passed the faith-test!' DENISE'S ROOM: 'A gorgeous young woman in a bikini was in the test-room Denise chose, and the sexy but eccentric young woman offered Denise the option to kiss her on the mouth sensually, assuring her it was of course hygienic, or eat some very very old candy. Denise chose the cold candy and then ordered to explain her choice. Denise told the sexy woman that she'd rather do something stale than something taboo! Denise had passed her faith-test.' CLAIRE'S ROOM: 'Claire entered her room where a young boy sat painting. The boy told Claire that she could opt to either jump out the window in the room to see if she survived the fall, which was actually not too high, or try to wrestle with the boy to see how strong he was. Claire was very reserved about wrestling and decided to jump out the open window. She had explained her choice was based on shyness. Unfortunately, Claire broke her neck during the fall and died. She failed her test!' Sandy and Denise exited their rooms and hugged but waited and waited and waited for Claire with no response. Finally, too worried, they decided to enter the room Claire chose and ask the boy inside what had happened. The boy explained Claire failed the test, because she chose a dare rather than a youthful fitness exercise! Sandy and Denise looked out the open window and saw Claire's dead body. They decided to run out of the mansion and back to the church building in Silent Hill. ESTHER: "I'm overjoyed that you, Sandy/Denise, managed to pass your individual faith-tests in the Silent Hill mansion experience. Your friend Claire was not so fortunate, since she chose what seemed to be a 'convenient alternative' to something just slightly challenging! That's the real blessing-and-curse of Silent Hill, you see --- travelers pass through seeking 'enlightened thrills' but sometimes discover very unusual life-sentences, and then we folks of the ghost-town congregation preserve the casualties' bodies as symbols of eternal revelation. Keep your entire ordeal a secret, and no curse will follow you out of this town once you decide to depart from Silent Hill!" ==== © 2020 Abishai100 |
