Restoring Wonderland

A Story by Abishai100

A vampire is sent to Earth by the gods to save the spirit of American media after a devastating blow to the heart of human storytelling!

I really wanted to share a shattering story, based on real events, and how it culminated in the death of the spirit of an entire genre of arts/entertainment, the pornography industry. I'm sharing this, since the event itself changed the way we Americans formally conceptualize the complications involved with society customs. I'm sux ha big fan of the Writer's Cafe community that sharing this was an ultimate priority before signing off!

This is a fairy-tale retelling of the terrible Wonderland Murders in 1981 in California involving iconic 1970s porn-film superstar John Holmes and dubious LA nightclub owner Eddie Nash.

John Holmes stared at the horrific pool of pale blood under his feet after he'd allowed the thugs of dubious LA nightclub owner Eddie Nash into his California friend's house. The thugs were sent to avenge the theft of guns and cocaine from Nash's palace committed by Holmes' California friend. Holmes was now complicit in the death of his friend and his guests in California. Nash had forced Holmes to provide the thugs with the security-code to Holmes' friend's house so they could sneak in late at night.

HOLMES: "What cruel fate renders me a forsaken accomplice in the utter destruction of my friend's home in sunny California? I pray to the gods to send us a deliverer who'll expose this eyesore in American life. May it be a great angel or revolutionary!"

The gods answered Nash's prayer and sent a vampire named Alas who confirmed the reality in American life that Nash feared --- the death of social morale. Alas took stock of the terrible frailties in American civilization and used his vampire spell to indoctrinate all the prostitutes and children of America to create an Utopian vision of Exodus. These women and children would serve as witnesses of the special optimism-oriented revolution Alas was creating and form an online (Internet) secret homeschool ashram dedicated to the resurrection of spiritual free-speech.

Washington called Alas' lifestyle-critique project a work of dramatic fiction. No one actually knew who comprised Alas' online ashram, since everyone used an alias and Internet-based art boards. Alas retorted to the naysayers by citing the Boston Tea Party as a clear example of the social mobilization of peoples in the construction of great cultural shifts in ways of thinking. Alas considered his blood-vitalizing lifestyle invention ashram an imaginarium devoted to the salvation of Christian democracy. Why would he fail?
