Phoenix v StormA Story by Abishai100Dark Phoenix contends with Storm about the basic and overall logic of civilization ethos and how we use rationalism to construct modern totems of duty.I read this terrific Dark Phoenix comic by a Marvel fan, and I had to return from retirement for a patriotism-analysis diorama about the 'logic' of civilization labors, and it involves a 'philosophical' stand between the two Marvel super-women Storm (a diplomat of light) and Dark Phoenix (a diplomat of darkness). This pseudo-scientific diorama was inspired by the film Baraka. Thanks so much for reading (signing off), ==== Dark Phoenix used her mystical powers obtained from the seas of fire to challenge the dominion of the ethical and democracy-defending Storm, an Earth-dwelling female mutant who directed her sensitivity to weather-systems to make herself an authoritative 'siren' of the destiny of our planet's ecology. These two women were diametric opposites. Dark Phoenix was a woman who represented the depth and complexity of fire, while Storm symbolized an Earth consciousness regarding the tangibility of terrestrial nature! Dark Phoenix wanted to see if Storm really was capable of holding her proverbial ground regarding the majesty of nature on Earth. This was a terrific philosophical challenge for the otherwise deistic Storm. DARK PHOENIX: You're so idealistic towards normal physics! STORM: You're a real firebrand of the perceptibility of chaos. DARK PHOENIX: Chaos is the reality of intellect. STORM: What about the World Bank (on Earth)? DARK PHOENIX: World Bank? STORM: Yes, it's a modern global financial institution. DARK PHOENIX: What does it represent really, Storm? STORM: It symbolizes humanity's attempt to amass and control wealth! DARK PHOENIX: Wealth? STORM: Yes, the World Bank tries to distribute money and direct asset-exchange. DARK PHOENIX: I suppose it tries to 'boost' Third World economy. STORM: That's one of its important functions, Phoenix. DARK PHOENIX: Well, finance and economics can be complicated by unpredictability. STORM: There are economists and mathematicians who study the peaks and valleys of money. DARK PHOENIX: Well, these 'scientists' can't fully evaluate the weight of distribution-deviations! STORM: There's always statistical deviations that create unpredictability, but we use 'true-false' metrics. DARK PHOENIX: Are you referring to the Liar's Paradox --- "Every statement is false!"? STORM: Yes; by parsing information into positive and negative values, we obtain charts for causality. DARK PHOENIX: You're not suggesting that speculations on causation yield truths about infinity(?). STORM: By creating 'category-boxes' of minute amounts of tangible energy, we create labor-grids! DARK PHOENIX: So with speculative science, you construct monuments to labor distribution? STORM: It's an effective way to cast ideas about resource identification (e.g., currency-exchange)! DARK PHOENIX: So, by denying the reality of chaos, you build totems for miners? STORM: Without mining for minerals, there isn't a simple way to think about modifying tool-use! DARK PHOENIX: Alright; I concede that 'simplifying science' helps the mind deal with conservation. STORM: I'll concede that the 'infinite depth' of the presence of chaos signifies a need for verification. DARK PHOENIX: In that case, let's agree that I manage the seas of darkness and you defend capitalism. STORM: I can stand by that; after 9/11, humans on Earth needed hope about basic politics. DARK PHOENIX: Alright then, continue to defend your 'human stance' on institutionalized capitalism. STORM: I suppose you'll continue to navigate the deep flames of infinite darkness? DARK PHOENIX: You bet! STORM: Cool... DARK PHOENIX: Humans are fortunate to have you as a defending patriot of capitalism-nature. After this rousing conversation between Dark Phoenix (a messenger of chaos!) and Storm (a defender of institutions!), the two 'super-women' decided they'd agree on basic society activities in human civilization such as the profitable and peace-promoting World Cup soccer tournament, which brought needed tourism and media-attention to lesser-developed nations which boasted athletes who were skilled at soccer. They also discovered they disagreed about the definitions of the 'mathematics' of labor. It was therefore conceded that these two emissaries of light and darkness were somehow working together (and competitively!) to illuminate the universal values of intellectual destiny. This was indeed an intriguing philosophical dilemma. What would this mean for humanity's sense of debt? ==== {Dark Phoenix & Storm} © 2020 Abishai100 |
