A Story by Abishai100
"

Raiden, master of Mortal Kombat, time-travels to London's Whitechapel District in the 1800s and meets a fair prostitute and her young son Edward and tries to rescue them from Jack the Ripper!

"
Raiden, the god of lightning, decided to leave Outworld and the Mortal Kombat fighting-tournament after winning the championship. He traveled through time and landed in London's Whitechapel District in the 1800s, while the nefarious and elusive serial-killer Jack the Ripper was stalking and killing vulnerable prostitutes! No one could catch Jack the Ripper, and Raiden felt very sorry for the targeted prostitutes. He decided to ask one of these troubled young women to a fancy lunch. He bought her a fancy pink dress and they ate a very fancy lunch in a very fancy bistro. Raiden realized he was becoming a real man!

The beautiful prostitute Raiden dressed up and adorned was a woman named Eliza who looked very lovely in pink and jewelry he purchased for her for the lunch at the fancy London bistro one afternoon. He told her he was the god of lightning and had the power to disseminate electrical shapes and diffract grids of space-time and send thought-waves of incredible imagination. She was overwhelmed and wondered why he was showering her with such revelations of idealized romance! Raiden told her he was going to gift her an ornate silver toy axe, for her son Edward who lived with her in her London apartment in the Whitechapel District. The toy axe symbolized Raiden's belief that Eliza would understand how his electric energy was a sign of his respect and adoration of her and why she would purchase fancy paper with the extra money he gave her so she could ask Edward to draw electricity pictures on it, as a symbol of their newfound fortune in life!

Eliza was grateful for the toy axe Raiden gave her. She didn't know he crafted it specially using one of his Outworld crafting charms! Eliza was going to present this toy axe to her son Edward and see what her son wanted to draw on the fancy paper Raiden also purchased for her. Eliza was sure these gifts would bring newfound optimism into Edward's life, since her son was very depressed about the news of the elusive terrifying serial-killer Jack the Ripper who was stalking and killing prostitutes in the Whitechapel District where they lived. Raiden had become their godsend, and this generous god of lightning wanted to use this newfound inspiration to instill some arguably much-needed romance into his otherwise life of combat, death, and martial skills.

London's Whitechapel District in the 1800s was a cross-section of traveling aristocracy, saloon-owners, street-musicians, policemen, politicians, artists, vagrants and poor people, pickpockets and prostitutes. This was not the Outworld of unusual warriors such as Subzero (a god of ice!), Shiva (demon-goddess of muscle!), and Sindel (empress-goddess of poison!) who comprised the table of warriors in the Mortal Kombat tournament that Raiden had miraculously won! No, London's Whitechapel District was an area of great color created not by fantastic strength but by the frailty of multi-variegated peoples in terms of fortune and vitality. There were sick people here and Jack the Ripper was killing helpless prostitutes. Raiden rescued Eliza from this life of hell, but he wanted to do more!

SUBZERO: I've followed you here, Lord Raiden!
RAIDEN: What the hell are you doing here, Subzero?
SUBZERO: I wanted to see what you're doing in 1800s London.
RAIDEN: You followed me to the Whitechapel District, you scoundrel?
SUBZERO: Indeed.
RAIDEN: What do you want?
SUBZERO: I wanted to see what the Kombat tournament was doing!
RAIDEN: Well, I'm courting a young woman named Eliza.
SUBZERO: I know; she has a young son named Edward.
RAIDEN: Edward needs encouragement, so leave us be, Subzero.
SUBZERO: Are you threatened, great Raiden?
RAIDEN: Don't be arrogant, or I will release an energy-shock called Injustice.
SUBZERO: What?
RAIDEN: Yes, only it will be called 'Injustice 2.'
SUBZERO: What are you talking about, Lord Raiden?
RAIDEN: This energy-shock will remind you that respect for time/place is vital.
SUBZERO: What will I feel?
RAIDEN: You'll feel the humiliation of transgressing into the lives of active humans.
SUBZERO: I sense you're being romantic and want 'private time' to become a 'real' man!
RAIDEN: You guessed my sentiments, but I want nothing to do with you now.
SUBZERO: I suppose you've told Eliza that you're a mystical god of electrical force.
RAIDEN: She knows everything about me, so depart to Outworld, lest I turn you into a fly.
SUBZERO: Fine, I'll do so to avoid this 'punishment' you refer to as 'Injustice 2' (and I hate bugs)!

Once Raiden expelled the intrusive Subzero back to Outworld, he continued his courtship of Eliza and continued to spend time with Eliza's imaginative son Edward in London's Whitechapel District. He kept them safe from Jack the Ripper! Raiden began to draw pictures for Edward of himself fighting terrible warriors in the Mortal Kombat tournament such as Reptile, Rain, and Smoke. Edward was so impressed that a wondrous god of lightning was visiting him and his mother in 1800s London to protect them from Jack the Ripper. This was a great adventure for Edward, and he wondered if all this newfound imagination would offer him and his mother a strange and delightful dosage of dream-theories!
