I'm a big fan of the fantasy-adventure cartoon franchise Voltron and wanted to generate a picture-page fan-fiction inspired by the storyboards from the iconic franchise. This is perhaps my final story on Writer's Café, so I really hope you enjoy it...

====
Alas the valiant knight had wandered into the planet called Eternia which was ruled by the survivors of Earth, humans, who'd escaped the nuclear apocalypse in the year 2030. Alas himself was a humanoid alien from Venus who constructed a space-ship and traveled outside his solar-system and arrived at the Xanadu solar-system which contained the planet Eternia. Alas met the ruler of Eternia, the human princess named Adeline. Adeline ruled over the human survivors of Earth in a Republic and commanded the first general Cruise who managed all the planetary defenses. Alas told Princess Adeline that he arrived in Eternia as a mercenary and was willing to help the good people of her planet. Adeline promised to pay Alas and offered him a room in her castle while he was in Eternia. Alas began falling in love with Adeline but wondered what a mercenary-knight could do for a republic-loving human princess. Alas was a very pensive knight indeed!

Adeline's castle on Eternia was a classic but futuristic looking structure with pyramid-shaped spires on the vertical towers surrounded by walls of ivory and stone and marble. Adeline's castle was built with the hands of the human survivors of Earth, a planet almost completely destroyed by nuclear war, and with the managerial acumen of General Cruise who wanted desperately to marry Adeline someday. However, Adeline began falling in love with the visiting eccentric but valiant mercenary-knight Alas and wondered what she'd do to persuade him to stay in Eternia and become her husband and king. Alas was not the type of man to be a king or monarch and very much preferred the wandering and roaming life of a mercenary-knight, but he couldn't help but admit that he was becoming enchanted by the frills of Eternia and the charm and youthful beauty of its monarch, Princess Adeline. Alas remarked on the splendor of Adeline's royal castle in Eternia, which was named White Palace.

General Cruise filled in the details for Alas regarding the defense analyses for Eternia. According to Cruise, a horde of robot and vehicle building invaders called the Horde, ruled by a wicked monarch named Prince Lotor, was preparing to colonize Eternia and take over the castle of Adeline. Cruise would therefore constantly prepare defensive procedures and maneuvers to ensure that the good people of Eternia would ward off such an ominous invasion. Alas admitted that the scope and ambition of Lotor's Horde seemed quite foreboding, but he was confident that he could help General Cruise defend Eternia from the Horde for the sake of Adeline and her White Palace castle! General Cruise was impressed by Alas' valor and love of Adeline's Republic (and castle!) and started to think practically about the possibility that Alas might marry Princess Adeline and become the king of Eternia someday. Cruise had noticed Alas and Adeline conversing with degrees of romance together and began speculating about their courtship. However, Alas and Cruise would now first have to prepare diligently for the martial Horde of the wicked Prince Lotor.

Princess Adeline always remained bubble and humorous about the schemes of the wicked Prince Lotor, even though General Cruise would often warn her that many kinds of invading events were on the horizon under the orders of the venomous Lotor. Adeline's philosophy was that since Lotor could not be extinguished, she'd need to remain confident and optimistic for the sake of the good spirits of the people of Eternia who'd already endured much as they escaped the nuclear apocalypse on Earth. Alas resolved to help General Cruise and Adeline organize their effors and wits to ward off the plans of Lotor's Horde. Alas even complemented Adeline's optimism in the royal court by providing light-hearted humorous jokes about the ugliness of Lotor which always brought a bright chuckle to the face of Adeline and the people visiting the royal court. This was ironically a time of good living despite the ominous clouds of imminent invasion.

When Lotor arrived with his Horde, General Cruise and the valiant Alas were prepared with their own engineered army of human-driven robot-soldiers called Sentinels, which were armed with video-screens, lasers, and multiple kinds of armor-attached guns called Shooters. Cruise and Alas called their defensive army the Legion, and they intended to command and organize it so that Lotor's Horde were simply driven away forever. Lotor landed with squadrons of jets that transformed mechanically into gun-shooting robots, but Alas and Cruise commanded their Legion Sentinels with their Shooters and steadily and surely used rows and columns of gunfire to systematically drive back Lotor's Horde. After Lotor ordered a final retreat, Alas and Cruise sent the wicked prince a final farewell by using their driven robots of the Legion to fire rounds of laser line shots all around but not directly at Lotor's retreating spacecraft. The day was won and Eternia saved.

General Cruise went on to become the celebrated commanding security officer of Eternia. Alas and Adeline married and became the King and Queen of the now peaceful planet Eternia. Eternia would live in peace, and the atmosphere of the planet afforded all the inhabitants a strange eternal youth, and Alas intended to enjoy such youth by living happily married to his darling wife Adeline. Now that Lotor's legion was gone forever, Cruise was relieved to be Eternia's commanding security officer and ensuring the secured happiness of Adeline's White Palace castle and her charmed husband King Alas. General Cruise would forever create defensive procedures to make Eternia a place of marvelous safety so that the White Palace castle would serve as a signpost for galactic sanity. General Cruise would be honored as a true man of defined courage!

ALAS: The wonders of peace required the art of war.
ADELINE: Life is an art, Alas!
ALAS: We shall make art for the children of Eternia.
ADELINE: That's possible now thanks to secured peace.
ALAS: Eternia shall be a wondrous planet of safety!
ADELINE: Our marriage will symbolize true happiness.
ALAS: War is hell, but the peace that follows is like a dream.
ADELINE: Let's just be grateful for our blessed love!
ALAS: Indeed.
ADELINE: May Eternia never again be cursed by phantoms.

"And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the Lord" (Exodus 34:10, KJV Bible).
