Merely an Awkward Poet

Merely an Awkward Poet

A Poem by WelshWinds
"

A confession, encouragement, pleading. You can take this poem in which ever way you want to.

"
I am merely an awkward poet,
Making my way through the world.
I do not have all the answers,
But I'll always be yours.

When you cry,
Because maybe you don't understand.
You must know,
That I'm always here wanting to hold your hand.

Don't turn your back on me,
You know I'll always love you.
Don't give up on me,
Just because you think I'm better off without you.

Whenever I attempt,
To form words into a picture.
Your name is always the first,
That rests upon my paper.

I have never judged you,
Even in your darkest hour.
So I beg of you,
Let me be your flower.

I'll never give up on you,
So long as you send me a smile.
Even if it's through the phone,
When we haven spoken in a while.

I'm merely an awkward poet,
Making my way through the world.
But I'm here to remind you,
That I'm always your girl.
