Atlantic

A Poem by Abigail
"

Something I thought of at the beach

"
The sun is high in the sky
It's hazy and bright
My friends singing and laughing echo from afar
I feel the sand so fine under my feet
She calls me in the distance
I hear her loud and clear

She's coming
Powerful and steady
I feel her under me
She's sweeping the sand from under my feet

She halts for a second,
And then she returns
She's taking me with her
I cannot resist her pull

She's so beautiful, so enchanting
Only I can hear her inaudible song
My head feels light
And I am weightless

Exactly. Thank you for your review
I'd probably fight like a cat to break free from that monster of a wave sweeping me to God knows where. When I was a teenager, I once fell off a dam into the vast river below. The waves weren't violent, yet slowly and surely and irresistibly, they were pulling me to my doom. I was confused and scared. But mysteriously, I became as cool as ice. Standing on my feet and not even fighting for dear life. All I fought for was to be able to stand on my feet. I did that until elderly people threw me a rope and hauled me up to safety. This is an enjoyable writeup abigail.
