Etched in Frost

Etched in Frost

A Poem by Anon
"

From the perspective of a bus driver

"

Schoolkids draw on schoolbus windows

unrequited love’s glorious initials etched in temporary Hearts of Frost.

I lay - in search of rest that ne’er comes

instead watching

the drawings fade with time.

and such is Love

indeed in that way as well.

Etched in Frost with eternal Promise but thereafter ever fading.

Schoolkids draw on schoolbus windows

Hand Turkeys and Autographs.

a childish creativity engrosses their little minds

as their formative years come to pass.

now they are gone

though I remain

their autographs disappear

and such is Life

that way as well.

Etched in Frost with growing Promise

though too soon fading to Black.

Author's Note

Anon
Ignore random capitalization, has a deeper meaning that is difficult for me to explain

My first real poem (I wrote it in like the seventh grade) so its probably not the greatest, just be honest about what needs fixing so I can develop it and hopefully grow as a writer.
