Into the Shadows

We all have one

Into the shadows they hide,

Away from probing eyes,

They say, "Secrets are power",

Though whose shall you know?

Into the shadows they lie,

For they all have one,

For said, "They will come out eventually",

Though how long can you keep them?

Tangled up in lies,

Shall you feel shame or fear?

Or rivulets of guilt?
