The Promise Of Peace

Something we all need

An eternal silence hovering our minds,

Digging out a path for it to bind,

An escape from dread and wrath,

Things could end commending but not its aftermath.

The silence bestowed is insufficient,

Need for something more and better is efficient.

The haunting world has no end,

Trust is not an ally to befriend.

You can feel nowt but pain, agony, and fear,

Strolling down your cheek, a single shed of tear.

Searching in the skies and the land,

Lurking in the shadows and 

When all hope is a strayed to believe,

To know it exists for you to receive,

From someone you love,

And that is the promise of peace.

We all love and hate the world at the same time. This poem is about the pain, the anger, and every other emotion that causes distress. But I have ended the poem with a straightforward message, the world is bad, but it also gives you good. If not, then from someone you love.
