Stella Would You Take Me Home 004A Chapter by indiscreetisChapter four! I'll get on five ASAP. (: Oh, and if you didn't know, this is about the lead singer...normally the one in front in all the pictures. (He's on the ground in this one!)Chapter 4 *Still Alex’s POV* “Come on, Alex, if you’re going to come with me, we need to leave now! Stop messing with your hair and get your a*s out here!” Stella yelled from the front door. I put the finishing touches on my gorgeous, flowing locks and ran out the door and jumped on Stella’s back. She laughed and gave me a piggy back ride to her car. “Ready?” I asked from the passenger seat? “I think I’ve been ready for longer than I thought I was.” She said. She hadn’t completely remembered everything about telling me she would leave Cody, but she tried to text him again, and call him, and she didn’t get a reply. She did get an answering machine though. That pissed her off and sparked the memories. “Let’s go.” She said, pulling out of the parking lot. When we pulled up to the insidious jack a*s’s house, Stella had a gleam in her eye. She looked kind of scared, too, like she was expecting the worst possible thing to happen. And that is what happened. *Stella’s POV* I walked up the familiar path to Cody’s apartment, Alex at my heals, and knocked on his door. I was doing everything I could not to start shaking from nerves. Cody and I had been together since junior year. But it was time for him to stop treating me and my best friends like s**t. I stood waiting for him to answer the door, and when he did, my stomach dropped. He was pulling his shirt on and buttoning his pants, with another girl attached to his hip. He looked at me, shock and fear in his eyes. “How…um…how was work this weekend? Tiring? You look super tired. Did I come at a bad time?” I said, ranting. I was shaking now. “Stella…” He said, running his hands through his sex hair. “Don’t…Don’t even make excuses for yourself. I don’t want to hear it. I should have known…I should have realized.” I felt Alex’s hand on my shoulder. Alex. I ripped off the necklace that still hung around my neck and threw it at Cody’s feet. I straightened up, took a deep breath, and said, “F**k you.” And turned, grabbed Alex’s hand, and ran out of there. I sat crying in the car for a long time while Alex rubbed my leg and told me everything was going to be okay. I probably wouldn’t have been if he hadn’t come with me. I probably would have broken down and sobbed right in front of him. Alex had that secure and safe feeling about him because I know that if anything ever happened to me, he would do his best to protect me. I loved that about him. I loved a lot of things about him. I mainly just loved…him. “I’m going to take you somewhere that will make you feel better.” He said, walking over to the driver’s side, opening the door, helping me out, and walking me around to the passenger seat just to walk back and sit at the wheel. He was so sweet to me when I was hurt. We drove down the road, and Alex put on music to help me smile. He put on that silly rap song HYPNOTIZE by Notorious B.I.G. I couldn’t help but to sing along to the chorus. “Biggie, Biggie, Biggie can't you see; Sometimes your words just hypnotize me; And I just love your flashy ways; Guess that's why they broke and you're so paid” He knew this song could make me laugh and smile no matter what happened. And it worked. Again. We pulled up to an ice cream shop, and Alex bought us a sundae and me my own personal cotton candy ice cream and we went to the park in the next field over. We sat on the merry-go-round and ate our sweet treats. He joked around, telling me silly things, making dorky jokes, and old stories of when we were younger. When we were done with our sundae, and I was licking my pink ice cream that had started to melt, Alex looked into my eyes. “Are you gonna be okay, Stel? He asked. I smiled at him and nodded. “Yeah, I’ll be fine. I didn’t need him.” “Not only that, but he didn’t deserve you. You’re too good for him.” I smiled again. Despite the fact that Cody and I had just broken up, I still wanted to kiss Alex. Really badly, too. “Do you remember, Alex, when we came here for my tenth birthday party, and Danny Thompson threw the cake all over my dress, and chunked it all over the ground because I didn’t invite him, and you were the only one that stayed to help me clean it up?” I asked. He smiled. “Haha, yeah, that was a fun day even though it was messy.” He said, looking at me. “When you’re done with your ice cream, let’s go to Chuck E. Cheese and jump in the ball pit.” He suggested. I couldn’t help but smile. I had the most amazing best friend ever. If only he wasn’t just my best friend. © 2011 indiscreetisAuthor's Note
