Nothing so Soft

Nothing so Soft

A Poem by Abigale LeCavalier

Nothing so Soft

I can barely move
my wrist anymore,
in the metaphorical
kind of way.

Bonded to the emotions
that only bother me.

Or seem too.

The weight unbearable;
it is more than water.

And I had a dream
that I lie down in roses.

They were heavy still.

And I tell her,
“I am not okay.”
