VinylA Poem by Abigale LeCavalierVinyl Not feeling uncomfortable when I should, she makes breathing easier somehow. Letting go of words in open arms, a whisper; Forget-me-nots pressed in an old bible or vinyl in her back pocket, spinning out songs I haven’t heard in years, I haven’t heard at all. She has stars in her eyes. I only have one, a reflection. A reflection. And I wonder if she noticed the heart I traced in the dust on her stand-up bass. I wonder if she smiled.
