Invisible

Invisible

A Poem by Abigale LeCavalier

Invisible

“Because I AM the moon.”

It was a bold statement,
winding my way through wheat.

Her hands are like mine.

Like mine!

And I cant remember what
gravity is anymore,
or was
at least.

I can bite my lip
all I want,
but its hers
I want to taste.

Swimming without water,
breathing without air,
living without life;
unintentional sacrifices.

A play on words.

Real words!

And she is just a touch away,
but even that’s too far
for me.

Because I AM the moon!
