Abduction

Abduction

A Poem by Abigale LeCavalier

Abduction

Port wine
with pancakes,
slipping from the rope
just before the jerk.

She can be anything
she sets her mind to,
anything but human.

Fingering the pistol pendant
hanging around her
abnormally long neck;
Audrey Hepburn?

A moment.

Forgetting the home
she left behind,
years away from this
so called Earth,
or earth.

And being a relic
relatively,
makes her a bit sad.

As she looks for meaning
in her blood-red
breakfast.
