QualityA Poem by Abigale LeCavalierQuality
Aggression; the quality of men in a dimly lit bar, split personalities like vodka or bourbon, an unlikely escape for someone so fragile.
The comfortable feeling of new knee high leather boots, and the taste of lipstick, there has to be more to it than that.
Not just the sick satisfaction of some guy in tight jeans, cocaine dripping from his nose.
But the realization that a few drinks could turn a tumble to a fall.
A seismic eruption.
Put down on cocktail napkins, or a borrowed business card destine for the gutter outside.
It’s amazing; the entitlement.
And the quickest way out not as easy, as turning up the lights. © 2010 Abigale LeCavalier |
