Sales Pitch

Sales Pitch

A Poem by Abigale LeCavalier

Sales Pitch

Well established

in front of puddle water,

it is almost as embarrassing

the regurgitated words

found on every sidewalk.

A preposterous phrase or two,

doesn't matter,

it's all gravy

as is the manipulation.

The humor found

by the men in

900 thread count

three piece suits,

rushing in with spoons

to gobble it up

slobbering,

a tad unsettling.

Because it has already rusted away.
