Old Ink

Old Ink

A Poem by Abigale LeCavalier

Old Ink

Oblivious in her nature,

she can stand

in the circles

of the sun.

Naked in the way

she thinks about

politics,

reading newspapers,

three days old.

It makes her feel,

like she has something,

on the past.

Nearly a smile

on her face.

And in times,

she tears out articles,

and places them

in the bottom of her shoes.

Hoping that old ink,

will stain her feet.
