Open Spaces

Open Spaces

A Poem by Abigale LeCavalier

Open Spaces

It looks like

I've been outed.

In the evening

while sipping coffee,

I got the news.

And thinking

about hiding in a hole.

It was only a matter

of time,

and time doesn't matter,

but it caught me

off guard.

I am

plentiful

in my passions,

expecting granite,

but finding green moss

under my feet.

And we'll see

who sticks around.

I think it was the dress,

that gave me away.
