Key Ring

Key Ring

A Poem by Abigale LeCavalier

Key Ring

It took me by surprise
her heartbeat,
my ear pressed firmly
to her skin.

I shuddered
with insecurities,
lost in sound
the vibration of feeling;
unpredictable.

And she smiled,
put me in her pocket
and fed me a snapdragon.

Lightly brushed by wind
her fingertips electric,
I had a place in her world.

And whatever that world may bring.

She holds me over water,
walking with definition
in circles sustained,
keeping time with
a favored song.

Pulling on the chain
locked around my neck.

Though she has the key.

quite captivating.....Very good....Though there are a couple of typos I think that you should be aware of..On the 1st line it should be ME instead of MY..And I am not sure if you meant SHUTTERED or SHUDDERED
