My Life

A special thank to a dear who inspired me when she asked me: "how's everything going?"

 

Time seems to drizzle past

As a light rain often does

Uncertain shadows have been cast

It’s unlike how my life was

 

I’m standing on shifting sand

Watching my life slip through the cracks

Everyone just doesn’t understand

My life has fallen off track

 

I’m scared and alone

Shivering on the side of the road

I can’t seem to call anyplace home

Trying to bear an unearthly load

 

I’m hard at work, digging my grave

I’m getting closer to hell all the time

My life I just can’t seem to save

Out of this hole I can’t climb

 

I feel I’m about to break

If I could do something I would

I wish my life I could remake

If only I could.

I don't rhyme often but I do enjoy rhymes... so any thoughts on my rhyming would be especially appreciated. Thanks for reviewing.

We do fall off track but there's just no going back. We can move on but we definitely can't retrace and get rid of the unwanted parts. Such is life.
