Alone and scared

Is anyone there?

Shec cries at night

Does anyone care?

 

She wonders

If they hear her

If they love her enough

To go down stairs

And tell her

They'll be there

 

One final scream

One final yelp

Just to see

If they will help

 

Still no one comes

They just let her lie there

And die of painful tears
