Evergreen Terraces

Evergreen Terraces

A Poem by Dig a Pony

Another product of rampant writing in Theatre

How pleasant it is to return to the walls where your quarantine has yet to be breached
The sirens are telling us of the newest symphony
See the old man at the end of the corridor
He's setting off a ridiculous chain of events in his pinstripe suit
Matidors wave their flags while maintaining their composure
Can you stand the heat?
Oh the heat
It burns the soles on the feet of the raging bulls rushing to the alter
And while I ride my dragon across evergreen terraces, I'll catch a drop of rain and save it for a sunny day
Raise your binoculars, ladies and ants
We are in for a show
It will only be mildly inspiring
Yes, mostly misfiring shots at the ghosts in the balcony
Divas and Gentlemen
Ladies and Ants
Evergreen Terraces and a Quarantine Dance
