Wreckless Abandon

Wreckless Abandon

A Poem by Abaxial
"

While I tend towards freeverse more often than naught these days, sometimes I'm drawn to various forms and styles. I have more than a few poems pleading to my 'Muse' to return and grant me her boon.

"

Whilst moon above does reign in splendour,

I alone, sit broken; tender.

Dreaming of your softest words

that now I find cannot be heard.

Your effervescent, presence gone,

left with the dusk, no sign of dawn.

And though your echoed voice remains;

It's truth? Witheld from this refrain.

So now I wait for your return,

who's love and life I once did spurn,

come back and whisper in my ear,

direct my thoughts, and my hand steer.

---

I had two loves of comfort and dispair,

But one of these I want you to repair.
