Fallen Petals

A rose embraced in its tender bloom
Facing the world, protected by it's thorns.
Fearless it stand
letting down all it's walls.

With the velvet touch of the winds
It danced with joy.
Giving the beauty to the world
Forgetting that it was still vulnerable.

One night it was hit by a storm,
there was no more protection of the thorns.
The beauty disappeared overnight,
The beauty that once appreciated
is just few fallen petals needed no more.
