Double sided pizzas

Double sided pizzas

A Poem by Aashka
"

This poem is inspired by a friend of mine who’s taught me a lot about life.

"
A queer friend, I met,
In a perpetual mien of distress,
For flowery words were his cronies,
And nihilism, our only affinity.

We discussed meaningless lives,
The cosmos and double sided pizzas,
And how there ain’t happy lives,
Just happy intervals, he said.

I realized that sometimes,
We don’t need unfeigned friends,
All we need is for someone to say,
”dude, we’re sailing in the same boat.”

A true chum is the one,
Who transfigures your perception,
For I never took lions to be congenial,
Until he divulged his desire to adopt one.

I would suggest all the readers to refer to a dictionary, I happen to love using flowery words!😂
