Revelers Visit the InnA Poem by Aarontastici spend a lot of time in my room. I spin around in circles sometimes, just for kicks. when the sounds of mirth come through the floorboards, i know that company has arrived - they laugh so heartily over the clink of champagne glasses I can almost see the smiles on their faces and smell their breath, thick with wine and taste their pungent joy and happiness. anxiously, i wait for them to call me from my room sitting on my bed patiently entertaining myself in a myriad mundane ways. ......... Footsteps! Talking outside my door! ......... no wait, never mind; that’s just the sound of this old house settling, and the howl of the lonely wind. © 2012 AarontasticAuthor's Note
