Inadequate

Inadequate

A Poem by Aaron Mocks

Slow as turtles are we whom strive to part, yet relive memories instead of creating new ones.
Slow as turtles are we to advance in the battles with ourselves.
Slow as turtles are we in bidding farewell forever when parting for a moment.
Slow as turtles are we.

The length of this piece definitely adds to the depth. The first line comes off slightly awkward upon first reading, but the second line is stunning.

The repetition is a powerful tool, it expresses the point of the poem well, and the use of the quote is creative as well.
