Fairy TalesA Poem by AaronI remember my mom reading aloud stories Of wicked step mothers and fairy god mothers From princess diaries to princess worries And stock phrases such as "once upon a time" and "happily ever after" Every story filled with thrill and laughter From Cinderella and Snow white and the 7 dwarfs To Prince Charming and his Horse Fairyland and under ocean world Were somethings I believed to exist As they were stories I could not resist Rapunzel's hair and Ariel's friend Was something I wanted from them "Mirror Mirror on the wall..." is one thing I still shout Cause even I want animal friends with whom I can hangout As I remember my mom reading these stories aloud © 2018 AaronAuthor's Note
