Bite

Bite

A Poem by PhoenixSongWriter

Mosquitos are flying

Around my face,

Landing and biting

All over the place.

High in the branches

Of a tall tree,

Ticks are waiting

To fall on me.

In the long grass,

The chiggers like to bite.

Biting my ankles,

I don't dare walk at night.

Gnats are biting

My face and my chest.

I'm trying to run

Away from the rest.

I am taking a walk,

When I heard a slight hum.

A flock of bees come out,

I have to run.

Something lands on my face,

When I'm lying in bed.

I wake up and see spiders,

Perched on my head.

I'm taking a walk,

When my leg starts to sting.

I look down to see ants,

To my leg they cling.

Horse flies a-buzzing

Round the lake.

I can't get rid of them,

I'm canoeing at stake.

Bugs that bite,

I don't like them.

Don't let them get you,

Or it's the end.
