Adida Sambas, are you leaving?

Adida Sambas, are you leaving?

A Poem by kimpetersen13kp

Adida Sambas in the doorway
I always tell you
how much I don't like them
that they only look good on you
how they go with your style
or whatever
then I think: but they are
in the doorway
aren't they?
always ready to leave
I don't like them
except
I wouldn't mind having to look
at them
all night
while you lay
behind my back
you are naked in my bed
your feet bare
we are looking at your shoes
in the doorway
you say:
why do you hate them so much?
I say: I don't hate them,
I just don't like them
I think: they remind me
of you leaving
those Adida Sambas
are you
in the doorway
looking over your shoulder
before you close the door
behind you

"I dont hate them. I just dont like them". Key point to the Sambas (Adidas). Not for what they are but for what they do, what they then represent in walking out on you. Not being that trusted partner, running those miles with you. Thank you
