you're significantA Poem by kimpetersen13kpI wonder if sometimes thinking I'm significant to other people does me any good.
I wonder sometimes
how I felt before I was made to believe I was significant when I was little I wrote a poem for class and I had thought it was good that I was good but, in the end, another child won the award for the best poem I was sure I would win that brilliance didn't belong to me not yet I was told but 'if not now, when?' I was told I was significant and that I only needed to prove myself I am older now and I am told I have proven myself and other people are winning the awards I was told would be mine I wonder sometimes how I felt before I was told I was significant.
