The Midnight RideA Poem by Aaliyah McKune
Something is always cruising in the wind
Dusk into Dawn into evening into midnight Speed limit is like a heart rate A simple nothing becomes just about everything You see it for what it completely is The power of midnight knowing but not telling Oh the sweet voices of innocence What dreams could become reality if not awaken Too soon will there be another Dusk into Dawn How much time will it take for that nothing to become something A sudden stop and a thought to the mind Soft whispers rising up from the cool side walks If there was only one place to go A distraction in disguise to reveal was is real An unlikely fall_____________wait Does one see the stars and the moon To tell all from the midnight sky A secret kept on the moon w/ the details in the stars Laughter excites many but silence fears all Most Wanted Lust by temptation Now the walls are coming down I could touch the no with the taste of yes More time is needed - no more time - its up Blue, Purple, Pink fill the air w/marshmallow What went wrong is the feeling of being so right Is it satisfaction of disappointment?
