A Venture from AdventureA Poem by Jim_FA Goodbye and an Apology...Your eyes; I really miss how bright they'd be. In the dark; you were the light in me. We're apart and it's my fault. I said, “I had to soar. There were more sites to see.” I wish I could take it back. I wish I could go back in time. I really could have had someone to enlighten me. I ruined it. A part of me; a perfect dream. An unequal being. A true friend lost, broken, Something I tore from the seams. I failed, I wanted more, I closed that door. I blindly ventured out and lost the best adventure to experience. You were the most amazing sight to see. Sailed away, out to sea. The perfect breeze and gone too long. It's my fault. I was wrong. I built you the ship and I jumped. Now my hearts left alone. Struggling while while starving on a raft. Regretting the day I dove out and set it free. Regretting that day of my past. I miss the times that you were here with me. From the long conversations, true joy in your smiles, the beauty of your body and the dimples in your cheeks. These are only a few of the things that I have missed for too long. You brought me joy in this world. For that, I am lucky. And to be fair to you, I stayed gone. Goodbye and Thank You,
