Boredom

A New Dawn

By: Muhammad Moosa

Boredom is a drop of bleach.

It falls onto a colorful shirt.

Slowly making it more and more dull.

Slowly removing all color,

until an empty shell is left,

until it is just like any other shirt.

However, it wipes that shirt clean, removing any stain.

And it leaves a blank slate.

Fresh with new ideas,

and endless possibilities.

What to do with that shirt,

is your desicion.

There is great wisdom in your words. We can see the bleach soaked shirt as useless or see the beauty of many colors. Life is what we want to see. If we live wanting nothing and swimming in negative. We have no place to go. Better to live life with rose-color glasses. Laugh and dance. Use trickery to make people think we have hidden secrets on how to be happy. Thank you for sharing the thoughts provoking poetry. A excellent poem.
