The Mystery Man

The Depressive Manifesto (Finale)

By: Muhammad Moosa

The tales tell of a certain Fog,

who is prefaced with hopelessness.

It arrives like a warm wind.

Like summer days, fond of memories.

Like the pleasantness of a baby’s laughter.

It soothes and comforts.

It relinquishes hardships and pain.

Then it reminds of the lost hope by which it is prefaced.

It leaves soothingly.

A pleasant fog that lifts away.

It glides away, leaving its knowledge.

The dew of morning’s Fog.

Droplets that replenish and revive.

The droplets of The Mystery Man.

I know that a person is not an "it" I wanted the fog to be more accentuated. If it is that bad, then I might revise it.

I like the above lines a lot. I like the way you wrote the poem. Allowed the reader to vision what they desire. I tell the young writers. Key to writing is making the reader use their imaginations. You did. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
