Will You Marry Me

Will You Marry Me

A Poem by Brian A Morris
"

I wrote this poem to my wife.

"

What this poem will do is ask a question that is true
It comes directly from my heart not my brain or other body part
Lest this poem fall apart from the word go
Love will conqueror everything in our path, tied with a bow
Your heart and mine together forever is what I ask
Or maybe your hand in my hand that's the task
Understanding each other better than the rest because together we are the best
My heart is yours forever that I promise you, until I die that's true
And I also promise to cherish and hold you tight, never to let you go or I might
Regret everything I have ever said to you, and then I'll be blue
Remembering all the good times with you, Jo I love You
Yes you mean that much to me, my heart can't write the words that be
Mentioned here because my head is love drunk and obsessed with you
Everything I said led to this question, Will You Marry Me?

A form of acrostic, and a beautiful poem.......it is quite hard to maintain the rhyming when you have given a limit to start with a particular letter like you have done.......keep it up.......NiCe piece of poetry......keep going......:-)
