Grey

Grey

A Poem by AWickedMoon
"

About and old woman losing a friend.

"

It started out such a beautiful day, now the sky seems dull and grey,

I look at the grounds where we used to play, but now you’ve gone away,

I wish that maybe you would come back some day, but I will have to wait,

Until it is my day, to join you up there and once again play,

And so you remain to us still sleeping in the ground

Lost to us, never again play on such a beautiful earthly day.

This is very sad. From the description I am assuming her friend is dead. :(
I admit, two of my greatest fears in the world are losing a friend I love dearly and growing old. Yet, to grow old with said friend conjures up some lovely images and sweeps away any fear. :)

I enjoyed this. :)

Hello Jade,

Quick and easy, to the point.

Always,

This seems more like a statement than a poem... Nice rhyme though!
